Team NOLAGraphics Wins 2nd Place in Madisonville Chili Bowl

With roasting aromas from Poblano Chili blown by Tchefuncte River breezes, Team NOLAGraphics mixed and stirred Grandma Quijano’s centuries-old Family Chili Recipe from Guadalara in Jalisco. Into the mix, Grandson, Marc Bernard Juneau added a contemporary twist with the  layering of flavors from his Louisiana-Cajun heritage, an infusion of the Milagro Tequila, and the amazing Ancho Reyes Chili Apertif by the good people at William Grant and Sons, which added another depth dimension into the flavor profile.

All of the combined fresh and lean meats from our winning chili was purchased at our local favorite meat Market in Mandeville, Saia’s.

The Winning Recipe remains a secret – just know it leaves your mouth dancing a two –step with the mystique of Mestizo Cuisine and Louisiana’s Joir de Vivre.

It was a Family Affair as Team NolaGraphics brought in Second Place at this first competition they have entered. Stirrin the pots were: Marc Bernard Juneau, President, NolaGraphics; Tara Davis Juneau, Marketing Director, Nolagraphics; Sandra Scalise Juneau, Project Coordinator, NolaGraphics and Evyn Davis, Tara’s oldest son.

Next Competitions are the Hammond Chili Cookoff Hammond Fraternal Order of Police Chili Cook off later this month and the Louisiana Chili Cook-Off in March 2015 Look out – We’re headed for FIRST!
